William C. Stubing Memorial Lecture - 2017

Are We Ready to Edit Our Genomes?

The Inaugural William C. Stubing Memorial Lecture was held on October 10, 2017 and featured Oncologist and Pulitzer Prize winner Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD.

In October of 2015, the former President of The Greenwall Foundation and beloved husband and friend, passed away.  Mr. Stubing served as President of the Foundation for 21 years.  He guided the Foundation through the challenges of economic downturns with an eye to using its resources to contribute to social good.  His broad intellectual interests, warmth, understated sense of humor, and skills as a raconteur suffused his interactions with grantees, staff, and directors and made working with the Foundation a pleasure for all.

In 2016, The William C. Stubing Lecture series was created in his honor, as it was he who guided the Foundation to its current focus on bioethics.
