Jon Tilburt is a practicing physician specializing in whole person care at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. Jon’s scholarship focuses on improving relationships in healthcare using the lenses of ethics, healthcare-delivery research, and the power of patients’ stories to promote equitable, respectful care. In 2014 and 2017 he received the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Professionalism Research Prize. Since beginning at Mayo Clinic in 2007, he has sustained continuous NIH funding, published nearly 200 peer reviewed articles, and served on several national ethics committees.
