Jeffrey Peppercorn is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a breast cancer medical oncologist and the Director of the Supportive Care and Survivorship Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. His research focuses on bioethics and policy issues related to oncology care including research ethics, costs of care and value, patient doctor communication, and the close relationship between clinical care and clinical research in oncology. He serves as the Chair of the Ethics committee for the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Research Committee. He has served on multiple committees for the Alliance, ASCO, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and currently serves on the executive editorial board of the JNCCN. In addition to the Greenwall Foundation, his research has been funded by ASCO, NCCN, American Cancer Society, and NIH.
